Light of Compassion Illuminates All Five Continents

Our land has known the mountains and the streams,

The golden rice fields, parents safe and serene,

Today we gather here with hearts to pray,

May all the Buddhas guide us on our way.

May the light of compassion spread to every land,

May all our sorrows fade and wars forever end,

May peace like a lotus blossom in the heart,

Each soul - a candle, shining through the dark.

May peace reign over all our lands, this sacred earth,

Five continents, one ocean - one home of boundless worth.

Om Mani Padme Hum - the sacred mantra true,

World peace begins within - in me, in you.

Beyond the distant skies, so many souls,

Weeping through the long night, lost in sorrow's cold,

We lift our hearts of compassion there to send,

May every sorrow find its healing in the end.

Though skin and tongue may differ, near or far,

One human heart - one longing, one same star.

Together dreaming of a war-free day,

Together trusting love will light the way.
